Spinach Feta Chicken Burgers Ingredients
If you couldn’t tell by the name of this recipe, the two main stars of this recipe are both spinach and feta!
You’ll use an egg to bind the chicken along with the other ingredients.
The main key ingredient besides chicken is spinach! It add a nice touch of fiber to your burgers so you stay fuller longer.
Try to use fresh spinach if possible so you can take advantage of all the nutrients of this delicious food!
If you opt for frozen spinach, make sure it’s fully thawed before using it.
In addition to thawing out the frozen spinach, make the majority of the liquid is squeezed out of the spinach or your burger patties will be mushy and won’t hold their form.
An easy way to do this is to place your thawed spinach in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze the heck out of it over the sink.
The second star of the recipe is feta cheese. It has a great tangy + salty bite that really makes these patties pop!
Greek Turkey Burgers
If you want to change the flavor profile just a little with this recipe and make it more of a Greek Turkey Burger, here’s what you’ll want to do:
Use turkey instead of chicken and add in the following ingredients to this current recipe:
- 1 teaspoon of oregano
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- A little lemon zest
You can serve this Greek Turkey Burgers version with yummy Tzatziki Sauce or you can jump on over to my Greek Turkey Meatballs with Yogurt Tzatziki Sauce recipe and give that one a shot!
Chicken Feta Spinach Burgers for the 17 Day Diet
If you’re eating low carb on the 17 Day Diet, you can certainly have this enjoy this yummy Chicken Feta Spinach Burgers recipe on all cycles of the diet.
Now technically, non-fat cheese is allowed in all cycles under the condiment section to be used in moderation.
You’ll actually find feta listed in the Cycle 3 food list. This recipe doesn’t call for much, so you should be good to go.
Just one more thing about cheese – I personally recommend using either low or full fat cheese. Nonfat cheese (along with all other nonfat foods) contain extra ingredients such as sodium and sugar to make it taste better.
Remember, less of a full or lower fat version is better and goes a long way!

Judy’s recipe was originally double what I posted here, so I took the liberty of converting it to a 4-serving recipe.
In Judy’s original recipe, she used 3 eggs (for a 2-pound ground chicken recipe), so if you feel like your chicken needs more than 1 egg, then by all means feel free to add in more.
